My bookshelf
The Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson, Little Women, The Hunger Games, the Horrible series and Kay’s Anatomy. I like fantasy, adventure, clever humour and characters who feel real.

The collector behind the atlas
I take far too many photos of skies, mountains and buildings that look as if they might have a secret.
I started The Secret Atlas because I wanted somewhere nicer than my camera roll to keep everything. This is not meant to be a perfect travel guide. It is just the trip as I remember it: green paths, changing weather, good food, old rooms and moments that made me laugh.
I'm usually quiet when I first meet someone, but once I'm comfortable I can talk to my friends for ages. I like stories with magic, mythology, danger and strong friendships — and I like real life best when it has a little of that feeling too.
The less formal introduction
Books, songs, snacks, games and other useful information.

Vanilla and honeycomb ice cream: yes. I tried honeycomb ice cream in Bourton-on-the-Water, and I absolutely loved it. Coconut water: always. Tomatoes and onions: absolutely not.

I love playing Werewolf. Trying to work out who is lying is fun — especially when everyone starts accusing the wrong person.

I use my DJI Osmo Pocket 4 to film mountains, skies and any landscape that makes me stop walking for a second.

I can chat with my friends for ages, but I’m usually not much of a talker around people I don’t know yet.

I love burning magnesium in oxygen, testing endothermic and exothermic reactions, and mixing compounds together. Watching everything react and change is so cool — it feels like actual magic.
