Stone towers, armour and a book-filled room — exactly the sort of history I like to meet in person.
Warwick Castle felt like a slightly chaotic kind of time travel: rooms, walls and objects from different lives all layered on top of one another.
The library was easily my favourite part of the day. Its shelves, painted details and afternoon light had exactly the atmosphere I wanted this atlas to keep — quiet, curious and just a little enchanted.
